EKAM was founded and designed by Japanese designer Kanya Miki (三木勘也) around 2009.
After establishing himself through his experience at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp and working under designers such as Walter Van Beirendonck and John Galliano, Miki returned to Japan and launched EKAM as a menswear leather brand.
The brand reached its peak during the early-to-mid 2010s, becoming known for its ultra-thin leather jackets, dramatically elongated sleeves, and distinctive slim, body-conscious silhouettes.
